CAMP 2017 CAMPer Registration Instructions

Thank you for choosing CAMP, Constructing Assured and Motivated People. This year's CAMP session is August 6-12, 2017. The fee is $230.00 before discounts.

Discounts available this year:
*Early Bird Discount: $20.00 per registration (available February 1 - May 1, 2017), Must be paid in full by 5/1/17 or discount is removed)
*Sibling Discount: $20 off second sibling (Available February 1 - August 6, 2017 )

Please follow the instructions listed below to register:
The registration form is short with additional follow-up forms to be completed.
1. Returning campers will need to log into their registration account using the user name and password from the previous year. Please follow the link on the login page if you are unable to remember your password.
2. New campers will need to create an account. There is no charge for opening your account.
3. In the Cart, you will have the option to pay in full, pay a deposit ($59.00) or choose a payment option.
4. Parents, if you have another child to register, you may select "add another registration" at this time.
5. You may donate to Camperships or join our support organization "SFA"
6. The CAMPer Rules and Regulation are found in the waiver section of the registration form. Parents and Camper must read before accepting/agreeing to this waiver. The other waiver is from the registration software company allowing them to accept /store your information.
All discounts will automatically apply in the cart.
7. If you are a Grad CAMPer, Please choose under grade "adult 18+" even if you are not 18 yet.

Please note that there is a $9 (non-refundable)processing fee that is automatically added to each registration.

8. You may make payments by logging back into your account at any time. A link to your account will be on your camper registration confirmation email. We suggest you save and place this email in a folder for easy access to your account.
9. If you have a coupon code, it can be entered in the cart.
10. Please be advised that there are No Refunds After July 1. 2017.

Staff Applications

Thank you for your interest in being a counselor at our week long camping program. CAMP, Constructing Assured and Motivated People, is a traditional spiritually motivating youth program which runs from August 6 - 12, 2017. Staff must report to Tar Hollow State Park, located in southeastern Ohio, on Saturday, August 5. Our program is staffed with all volunteers.

Being a CAMP staff member requires you to be a leader at all times. You are expected to set good examples for campers and each other.

Above all, your first responsibility will be for the camper's well-being every hour of every day they are in attendance.

All CAMP Staff Positions are Volunteers and are open to anyone regardless of their race, color, maritial status, religious affiliation or age (but must be over the age of 18).

The newly implemented registration program is a user and tablet friendly program. To make the process quicker and easier, we have broken the application into different supplemental forms. This will assist in making staff assignments. All forms, including supplemental forms, must be completed to apply. The Class and Leadership forms have a statement that must be clicked on to opt-out of a teaching or leadership position. Staff Health/Consent form will be distributed closer to CAMP.

We offer 3 classifications of staff and you must be 18 years of age to apply. Please read the following descriptions and decide which position you would like to volunteer for before registering.

1. Cabin/ Assistant Counselor:Primary responsibilities include supervising, motivating and participating with the campers assigned to your cabin and clean up assigned areas on the final Saturday for inspection. Secondary responsibilities may include teaching or assisting assigned classes and daily activities, set-up and tear down of special events, and may include some leadership positions such as Hill Supervisor.

2. Kitchen Staff: Responsibilities for this position includes set-up of CAMP kitchen, preparation of meals, cleaning of kitchen area daily and clean-up of kitchen for inspection on final Saturday. You will be working with campers and staff daily.

3. Support Staff: This position includes (but not limited to)CAMP directors/administrators, CAMP ministers, First Aid providers, Craft Hall Supervisor, Security personal, and special activity directors i.e.; Waterfront Director, Archery, Air Rifle, Instructors. Position responsibilities include supervising/evaluating staff under your activity, teaching/assisting in classes, leading or assisting in daily and special event CAMP activities, as well as, clean up on final Saturday for inspection. Bunking assignment may be in a cabin as an assistant cabin counselor.

Each volunteer will need to complete the application to be considered for a CAMP Staff position.

This which includes:

1. Completing all forms including application, class, leadership, voluntary disclosure statement, and head shot on line and paying a $35.00 SFA membership fee upon checkout.

RETURNING STAFF NOTE: Please check and update ALL your information (address, email, phone number) before submitting your application.

2. Reading and accepting the CAMP Staff Contract.

3. New applicants or anyone returning after a year or more absence will need to be interviewed by a CAMP Director or CAMP appointed representative.

4. New applicants or anyone applying after a year or more absence must provide 2 character references specifically from previous work history which may include a volunteer position.

5. New applicants OR any applicants returning after a year or more absence must also provide a copy of a fingerprint background screening from the state in which they reside. We will accept a copy of your background check that has been done after August 31, 2016. We will also accept military screenings. If you need to obtain a screening, contact your local authorities (sheriff or city police), or web search "fingerprint background screening" for a location in your area/state that will provide this service. If you have moved from state to state in the past year, please request a FBI National screening.

6. All applicants must complete a voluntary disclosure statement and an emergency/health consent form. These forms are now a supplemental form on line.

7. All other applicants must agree to a criminal background check to be completed by CAMP Board.

New volunteer applicants: enter your email address where asked. Follow instructions and complete the application. A new account will be created at the end of your application process.
