PRE-CAMP MORNING WATCH
FOR
JULY
“Where
you and me are free to be---
You and Me!”
but the words are part of one of our old theme songs,
FREE TO BE--YOU AND ME!
When
we think about July and the 4th of July, especially, we really should be
grateful for our freedom!—
And ,Of course, we are!
However,
that freedom is more about our nation. That old theme was really about our
personal freedom, and actually isn’t it just about the essence of C.A.M.P.?
Where else in your world are you as free to be you as you
are at camp? We may not be exactly perfect in that department, but closer than
any place else I know about!
What
a blessing it is to be able to believe as we do and not be criticized for it!
What a blessing it is to be able to dress as we choose, and not be put down for it! What a blessing it is to be friends with
people very different than we are, and yet not feel weird about it !
