* * A NOTE TO PROSPECTIVE CAMPERS (AND THEIR PARENTS) from (Founding
Directors of C.A.M.P.) Yea!
It is time to think about C.A.M.P.2008! This Summer’s session (August 3-9) will be the 53rd Annual C.A.M.P., and
again we will be enjoying the excellent facilities of the Resident Camp
at Young
people from grades 6 through 2008 June Graduates are eligible to attend.
Campers are accepted First Come/First Served. The program is
co-educational and interracial. This
jam-packed week of fun also presents lots of opportunities for personal and spiritual
growth. C.A.M.P. actually stands for: Constructing Assured
and Motivated People, and the entire program is dedicated to
that end with a very talented staff, all determined to make August 3 through
9 the best week of your life--and one that you just may never forget! This
week will offer opportunities to participate in a huge variety of sports
activities, waterfront fun, music, arts and crafts of many kinds, and chances
to try your hand at drama, painting, photography, journalism, and much
more. There is even a C.A.M.P. Band called “Boonie’s
Loonies”, and Boy, do they rock! Qualified
instructors head up each of the activities, and campers pick which they want
to be a part of. Each
cabin (of usually 8 cabin mates) has at least one adult counselor. The
camp is staffed with numerous paramedics, and our waterfront personnel are
just the best!! In addition to the State Park Rangers, C.A.M.P. provides its
own security personnel, and we have immediate communication throughout the
entire facility. After
you register, you will receive a list of suggested “Things to Bring”
(and also “Things Not to Bring”), but in reality what you really need to
bring with you is A Readiness to HAVE FUN! We can almost
guarantee that you will!!! This
on-line registration is an indication of C.A.M.P.’s
progressive thinking as we try to keep abreast of everything new, but be
assured that the basics of good camping also still exist!! We
look forward to this, our 53rd year at C.A.M.P. and are looking forward
to being with you from August 3 through August 9 at Tar Hollow! In
the Spirit of C.A.M.P., * * * * * * * * * * * * * * INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS TO
